Peer Counselors are available in the Guidance Office each block throughout the school day to be of assistance to students.  Peer Counselors are carefully chosen each spring from the upcoming senior class based on qualities of responsibility, sincerity, compassion and desire to be of help to others.  They assist students with personal, social and academic needs.  Parents, if you would like your student to be contacted by a Peer Counselor, contact our counseling office.

CCHS Peer Counselor Messages

Hi, I’m Ashley Kay, and I’m so excited about this year’s peer counseling group.  I love getting to know people better and being able to be there when they need someone to lean on!  I’m very involved and committed to Encore (our school choir) and I love to sing!  I’m a D.A.R.E. role model and am also a member of ADDA.  My favorite part of school is getting to do all of the extra curricular activities such as sports games and dances.

Hello, my name is Krista.  I am a peer counselor this year.  I am here to let you know that I am available to talk and listen whenever you feel the need or you can always stop by the peer counselor room and say “hey!”.  I am involved in girls golf, and I am also a student athletic trainer!
Hey, what’s up?  My name is Justin  and I am a peer counselor.  Hopefully peer counseling will give me an opportunity to get to know the various students who attend CCHS.  During previous years in school I have participated in basketball, NHS, and design and drafting.  If you ever have any problems, feel free to drop by the counseling office and talk to me whenever you need to.
Hey everyone!  I’m Cassie and I love being a peer counselor because I know how important it is in high school to have someone to come to who will just listen.  I’m ready and willing to help any student with troubles whether it may be an English paper or a fight with your best friend.  Besides peer counseling, I love photography, tennis, being on student council, yearbook, and of course hanging out with my friends.  My favorite quote is when Elenor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
“We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong, the amount of work is the same.”-Anonymous.  My name is Jamie and as a peer counselor I challenge everyone to live by this quote.  Make yourself strong.  Your goals, ambitions, and future all start with you.  You have the power to make a difference for yourself and others.  Embrace every day with a positive outlook!
Hey, my name is Bryan and I’m a peer counselor this year at CCHS.  I’m an easy-going guy who is here to listen to whatever you want to talk about.  Some of my interests and hobbies are: snowboarding, wrestling, sports, music, playing the guitar, and anything to do with the outdoors.  I’ve been involved with ADDA, football, and wrestling while in high school.  Feel free to come up to me at any time.  I’m always here to listen!
Welcome to CCHS class of 2009!  We’re happy to have you here.  My name is Alexa and I am a peer counselor during first hour this year.  I traveled to Russia this past summer and lived with a host family for seven weeks.  I’m president of NHS and I work at DiRito’s Italian Restaurant.  I’d be more than happy to talk with you or help you with your schoolwork.  I hope to see you soon!
Hi, my name is Lindsey and I’m a peer counselor this 2005-2006 year.  Peer counseling is a great program.  It gives students a chance to talk to someone their own age which makes it easier for them to relate.  I am in NHS, FBLA, BIONICS, 4-H (I show pigs), and speech and debate.  But I am never too busy to listen to you.  Feel free to stop in or drop me a note in my mailbox.
Hello, my name is Kayla and I am a peer counselor this year.  Peer counseling is an awesome and rewarding program.  It’s a great opportunity for me to meet new people and give them a helping hand.  I am involved in FCCLA, golf, and other activities outside of school.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  If you ever feel the need to talk, I’m here to listen.  Just leave me a note and I’ll get back with ya!
Hi, my name is Blake and I am a senior at CCHS.  I enjoy painting, snowboarding, and mountain biking.  I love to play football and basketball.  I decided to become a peer counselor because I like to be able to help people in need.  If you ever want to talk to me, stop by the counselor’s office fourth hour or leave me a note in my mailbox.

Hello everybody!  Tambra is here to inform you about me.  I am going on my fourth year in band where I play the clarinet and am also a drum major.  I decided that I devote too much time to band so I became a peer counselor.  I have also given time and brains to NHS, BIONICS, tennis, and track.  I love listening so come on in.

My name is Jake.  I have been told that I am a pretty good listener, if that means anything to you.  To make talking to me easier, here are some things I’m interested in; I’m an avid sportsman, I love the outdoors, guns, cars (trucks mainly), and hunting.  When I’m not hunting or fishing, I’m usually playing backyard football or baseball or something to that affect.  I have always wanted to be a peer counselor, ever since I was a freshman and I’ve been basically training myself to help you as much as possible.  So, “If ya need to talk, you know where to find me.”
