 Not
only does the Auto Tech class work on cars for the average Joe, but they
also do community project work . In the past, they have done
several projects concerning law enforcement, school district, and
various other community auto projects. Most of these projects are none
profit, and act as group projects for the class. One of the most
previous and notable projects done by the Tiger Auto Techs was the DARE
car. You might see this hot Trans Am, driven by officer Neil Tyler
around town teaching all the elementary school kids drug prevention. All
the mechanical work was done by the Auto Tech class, and the paint by
High Quality Auto Body of Canon City. This car took first in it's class
at the national DARE car competitions in California.

is another example of an award winning DARE car. This 2002 Dodge Viper R/T
was the all around champion at the 2002 National DARE Training Conference
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
